Steve AlterSteve joins AEV directly from his success at as the Product Manager for Microsoft Answers, where he was responsible for the strategy, development, and launch of the company’s first foray into online community support for mainstream consumers. During several years in Microsoft’s Community and Online Support group, he managed engagement opportunities between Microsoft and community influencers through the Microsoft Valuable Professional (MVP) program, driving feedback, advocacy, and participation in peer-to-peer support to achieve business results.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Steve was Marketing Communications Specialist for Apple, where he developed a variety of content and services for the apple.com Website.
His passion for community and crowdsourcing was forged during a decade as a producer and director in professional theaters across the country. He holds an MBA in Technology Management from the University of Washington and a BFA in Acting from Ohio University.
