Patrik Wijkstrom_BioOne of the reasons we founded Ant’s Eye View just over two years ago, was because we saw a need in the market for experienced practitioners who have developed and implemented social business strategies at scale. 50+ clients and 20+ employees later, it’s clear there was, and continues to be, demand for this type of experience. Today, we’re excited to welcome another experienced practitioner to the team: Patrik Wijkstrom.

Patrik joins Ant’s Eye View from Juniper Networks where he held a position of Senior Manager, Community and User Experience. Responsible for establishing a vibrant user community across Juniper’s website properties, he drove the successful rollout and re-design of Juniper’s technical communities and forums, developed social media marketing programs that tripled user community participation and led the team that transformed juniper.net to deliver an improved user experience.

A native of Sweden, Patrik has spent the last 13 years developing rich end-user and partner web experiences at a variety of Fortune 500 companies, including Nortel and Bay Networks.

Patrik lives on the Peninsula with his family. You’ll most likely find him on a squash court, at the symphony, reading Tranströmer, or traveling somewhere off the beaten path.

If you see Patrik at the new Silicon Valley office at 154 Dana Street, please join us in giving him a warm welcome.

The Silicon Valley has always been known for innovation and forward thinking.  At Ant’s Eye View, we see this every day as we work with our clients in the Bay Area.  Mostly large enterprises, our clients are reinventing how they do business and connect with their customers, at scale.  What’s more, we’re finding that the demand for this type of transformation is growing significantly, despite the slow economic times.

toddTo that end, we’re excited to announce the continued growth of our Silicon Valley presence by introducing a new senior leader on our team: Todd Shimizu.  Todd is our newest Vice President and joins another recent VP hire, Christopher Carfi, to lead many of our Silicon Valley accounts. Both Todd and Chris add industry and business leadership to an already stellar group of local practitioners.

Todd joins Ant’s Eye View after spending ten years at Juniper Networks where he served as the Director of Developer Relations & Engineering among other roles. There, he created the first Junos Space developer program and guided early adopters through their development experiences.  In addition, Todd led strategy for Juniper’s J-Net and social media properties as Director of Online Communities, launching the successful Junos Central and Junos Connect programs, tripling Junos technical certifications in 2009, and earning a Forrester Groundswell Award finalist nomination for his team’s efforts. Todd also served as President and Chairman for an international networks consortium, the IPsphere Forum.

Todd has traveled extensively around the world, including a two-year stay in Japan as part of the JET Program.  A Bay Area native, Todd attended UC Davis, where he also played varsity baseball.  He now lives in the East Bay with his family.

So if you see him around the Silicon Valley Anthill, please join us in giving him a very warm welcome.
